Volunteer at Yallambee

Volunteers are an integral part of Yallambee – from bingo callers to the Board of Directors. By volunteering with us, you will receive the satisfaction of offering yourself to support a good cause in the community, and the knowledge that you are touching someone’s life in a special way.

Volunteers support Yallambee through a wide range of interactions, including:

  • One-on-one activities such as companionship or reading;
  • Group activities (such as crafts, games, gardening and outings);
  • Entertainment of small and large groups and
  • Assisting with committees and events

The activities will vary depending on the volunteer’s interests, skills and choices, as well as the interests and choices of our residents.

We would love the opportunity to match your interests and skills up with the interests and choices of our residents.

All volunteers at Yallambee are required to have a mandatory National Criminal History Check, which is required to be renewed every 3 years.
